At Rutges Cargo Europe, investment in technology is a priority at several levels. Our ambition is to make EDI (electronic data interchange) the standard communication format for bookings, status updates and delivery confirmations and we now receive over 60% of shipment orders electronically.

At Rutges Cargo Europe we believe that IT is one of the most important integrated parts of the logistics process; from order till invoice and everything in between. We invest in IT innovations in order to create an efficient process and to have data and documents available as soon as possible. One of the key elements in this process is that all of our trucks are equipped with on board document scanners which are connected to our Transport Management System (TMS) where we gather our shipment data.

Our TMS has a client portal in which our clients can book shipments, view actual status and download IOD and POD documents.
